get_kernel_syms
Not implemented in Antinomie 0.7.0 · Syscall list
Synopsis
Section titled “Synopsis”long get_kernel_syms(void);| Number (x86-64) | 177 |
| ABI | 64 |
| Kernel entry point | none |
This is the raw kernel prototype from the pinned Linux 6.12.94 schema, not the libc wrapper.
Description
Section titled “Description”Historical call to list kernel symbols. Linux 6.12.94 on x86-64 has no implementation for it.
Arguments
Section titled “Arguments”The call takes no arguments.
Return value
Section titled “Return value”The kernel has no implementation and returns -38 (-ENOSYS) for every call.
In an Antinomie trace the Return column and the ret filter field show the raw kernel return value. On failure that is the negative errno, for example -2 for ENOENT, not the -1 plus errno that the libc wrapper gives. syscall.errno holds the positive errno and syscall.success is false.
Common errors

Captured by Antinomie
Section titled “Captured by Antinomie”Coverage mark: Not implemented. The pinned x86-64 syscall table gives this number no entry point, so the kernel returns -ENOSYS (-38). Antinomie records the call with its raw argument words and a “no decoder” gap because no prototype exists.
Antinomie still records the call: an Entry record with the raw argument words, an Exit record with -38 (-ENOSYS), and a schema.argument_metadata gap with the “no decoder” status, because no prototype exists.
