Command line

Antinomie is a desktop app, and everything is done in its window. The antinomie command (installed as ~/.local/bin/antinomie by install.sh) starts it, and takes a few options for the data folder, checks and graphics. The options are the same in 0.7.1 and 0.8.0.

antinomie [OPTIONS]
Option Effect
--data-dir PATH Use PATH as the data directory instead of ~/antinomie. Bases, VMs, recordings, samples, tools and settings all live there.
--check-dependencies Check the runtime requirements and print one line per check (QEMU: ready, or the problem and how to fix it), then exit without opening the window or changing any data. The exit status is 1 when a required tool is missing and 0 otherwise; optional tools do not change it.
--graphics-driver system or d3d12 The graphics driver for this launch. The default, system, keeps your environment. d3d12 selects Mesa’s D3D12 driver, for WSLg with a compatible GPU driver when it falls back to software rendering.
--tcg Start every VM with TCG software emulation for this launch, even if its settings say KVM. Slower; useful on a host without /dev/kvm.
--install-base DIR Import a verified base bundle from the folder DIR into the base catalog without opening the window, print the result and exit.
--version, -V Print the version and exit.
--help, -h Print the list of options and exit.

Examples:

Terminal window
antinomie --check-dependencies
antinomie --data-dir /srv/analysis/antinomie
antinomie --graphics-driver d3d12

Tools → UI performance… shows the renderer in use and recent interface timings, and can copy a launch command that keeps your data directory. Close Antinomie normally before starting it again with another option.

These exist for building and testing Antinomie itself; you do not need them to use it.

Option Effect
--bundle PATH The boot bundle to use instead of the saved setting, the ANTINOMIE_BUNDLE environment variable or images; used with a freshly built kernel and image
--bootstrap-gpa HEX Overrides the guest physical address the transport attaches at, in hexadecimal
--smoke-exit Open the window and close it again after three seconds

These scripts come with a release archive or the source repository.

Script Where What it does
./install.sh Release archive or source checkout Installs Antinomie for your user, without root: the app, a menu entry and an icon. In a checkout it builds the app first. Run it from a newer release to update; your data is kept.
./install.sh --uninstall Same Removes those three files and keeps your bases, VM disks and recordings.
./run.sh Source checkout Builds the app when its inputs changed, then starts it. Arguments are passed to the app. See Building from source.
scripts/build-full-pack.py Source checkout Builds your own full pack of every managed analysis tool on a connected computer, for an offline one.
install-full-pack.sh Inside a full pack Installs the pack’s tools into the data folder.

On a connected computer with a checkout of the source:

Terminal window
python3 scripts/build-full-pack.py --output dist # needs curl, tar, xz, pip

It downloads each tool from its upstream host, checks size and SHA-256 against the values pinned in the app, and writes the pack, a manifest and SHA256SUMS-full-pack into dist. --no-network builds from the download cache only. Nothing is uploaded.

On the offline computer, after installing Antinomie:

Terminal window
sha256sum --check SHA256SUMS-full-pack
tar -xf antinomie-X.Y.Z-full-pack-linux-x86_64.tar.xz
cd antinomie-X.Y.Z-full-pack
./install-full-pack.sh # into ~/antinomie/tools
./install-full-pack.sh --list # what it holds; changes nothing
./install-full-pack.sh --data-dir DIR --only ghidra,capa --force

The installer checks every file, installs each tool so that Tools → Analysis tools shows it as installed, and leaves alone a tool already installed at the same version unless you pass --force. It never downloads anything and never touches bases, VMs or recordings. Antinomie does not publish a pack: passing one on to others redistributes every tool in it, with their licence obligations. See the full pack.
